Examining Indices of Successful Iranian Muslim Women After the Islamic Revolution in Ayatollah Khamenei’s Words (A Case Study of Exemplary Women in Isfahan)

Abstract
Defining success for women has been a subject of ongoing debate, with diverse perspectives often clashing. Feminist discourse frequently emphasizes independence, career advancement outside the home, and a rejection of traditional gender roles as markers of success. Conversely, other viewpoints prioritize success within the domestic sphere, emphasizing roles as wife and mother. Some define women's success solely in terms of external achievements, such as financial independence, high education, and social status. Conversely, others equate success with domesticity, confining women to the home. Both perspectives present significant limitations. This necessitates a nuanced understanding of success for Iranian Muslim women, particularly considering the evolving aspirations of younger generations. This study aims to explore the concept of a successful Iranian Muslim woman by examining the comments and thoughts of Ayatollah Khamenei, particularly his concept of the "Third Model of Muslim Woman." Through qualitative thematic analysis of interviews with successful women in Isfahan, the research investigates the key factors contributing to their success. By comparing these findings with emphasis on the Leader's perspective, the study seeks to develop a comprehensive framework for understanding women's success within an Islamic context. The findings reveal two primary categories of indices for successful Muslim women: factors contributing to success and domains of success. These categories are further subdivided into individual, familial, and societal factors. The study identifies and analyzes key elements within each of these subcategories that contribute to women's success.
